Why This Index Exists

The Global Women of Choice Leadership Index exists to formally document women whose leadership decisions have shaped outcomes, shifted systems, and influenced institutions worldwide. Rather than ranking visibility or popularity, the Index focuses on decision-making authority, outcomes, and long-term impact; preserving women’s leadership as part of the institutional record.

This is not an application, competition, or ranking.

The Index is designed as a long-term documentation project, not a publicity initiative.

Outcomes Over Optics

We assess leadership through decisions made and results achieved — not titles, followers, or speaking frequency.

Permanent Record

Selected profiles contribute to an enduring archive used for research, media, and historical reference.

Who Should Be Documented

We invite documentation relating to women who:

Hold or have held decision-making authority within organisations, systems, or movements

Hold or have held decision-making authority within organisations, systems, or movements

Have influenced outcomes at organisational, sectoral, policy, or societal levels

Self-submissions and third-party submissions (agents, organisations, representatives) are welcome.

How the Review Process Works

Institutional Review

Submissions are reviewed for decision-making scope, evidence, and relevance.

Documentation & Indexing

Selected profiles are formally documented within the Leadership Index.

Editorial & Recognition Consideration

Some profiles may be considered for editorial features or honorary recognition where applicable.
